Backup

Backup exports or restores Weaver’s stable instance state.

Use Backup to download a compressed backup, optionally protect it with a password, analyze a restore file, review path remaps, and restore into an eligible instance.

Open Settings > Backup.

You need admin access. Restore changes instance configuration — treat it as an administrative operation.

  • Export a backup of configuration, history, RSS state, and SQLite-backed settings.
  • Add optional password protection to a backup export.
  • Analyze a backup before restore.
  • Review source data, intermediate, and complete directories.
  • Provide required category remaps.
  • Restore into an eligible instance.

Backups don’t include active jobs or job payload files — they’re for stable state and configuration.

  • Export before upgrading or moving an instance.
  • Restore into a clean instance after reviewing path remaps.
  • Keep backup passwords separate from the backup file.
