What This Screen Is For
Section titled “What This Screen Is For”Use Backup to download a compressed backup, optionally protect it with a password, analyze a restore file, review path remaps, and restore into an eligible instance.
How To Reach It
Section titled “How To Reach It”Open Settings > Backup.
Who Can See It
Section titled “Who Can See It”You need admin access. Restore changes instance configuration — treat it as an administrative operation.
Primary Controls And Actions
Section titled “Primary Controls And Actions”- Export a backup of configuration, history, RSS state, and SQLite-backed settings.
- Add optional password protection to a backup export.
- Analyze a backup before restore.
- Review source data, intermediate, and complete directories.
- Provide required category remaps.
- Restore into an eligible instance.
What Backups Do Not Include
Section titled “What Backups Do Not Include”Backups don’t include active jobs or job payload files — they’re for stable state and configuration.
Typical Workflows
Section titled “Typical Workflows”- Export before upgrading or moving an instance.
- Restore into a clean instance after reviewing path remaps.
- Keep backup passwords separate from the backup file.
