Binary
Manual binaries are a good fit when you already have a local service manager or host-level backup strategy and want to place the data directory yourself.
Download the archive for your operating system from the latest release, extract it, and run the binary:
./scryerOn Windows, run scryer.exe instead.
Open http://localhost:8080.
Keep the data directory on persistent storage — it holds your config, database, and logs. Do not place it inside a temp folder or the same directory as the binary. By default Scryer creates the data directory next to the binary; move or symlink it to persistent storage before adding titles.
Upgrading
Section titled “Upgrading”Stop Scryer, replace the binary from the latest release, and start Scryer again with the same data directory.
