Binary

Manual binaries are a good fit when you already have a local service manager or host-level backup strategy and want to place the data directory yourself.

Download the archive for your operating system from the latest release, extract it, and run the binary:

./scryer

On Windows, run scryer.exe instead.

Open http://localhost:8080.

Keep the data directory on persistent storage — it holds your config, database, and logs. Do not place it inside a temp folder or the same directory as the binary. By default Scryer creates the data directory next to the binary; move or symlink it to persistent storage before adding titles.

Upgrading

Stop Scryer, replace the binary from the latest release, and start Scryer again with the same data directory.
