Routing

Use Movie Routing settings to choose which configured provider instances and rules the Movies facet may use.

  • To access: Movies → Settings → Routing
  • To view: Requires manageCatalogSettings app permission
  • Also visible to: Also accept manageSystemSettings

If movie searches aren’t using the right indexer or downloads aren’t going to the right client, check which provider instances are assigned here before looking at the instances themselves.

If you just added a new indexer or download client instance, assign it here before expecting it to be used for movie operations — routing must be explicitly updated.

  • Select which configured indexer and download client instances are eligible for movie titles.
  • Apply rule sets that affect movie routing decisions.
  • Keep Movies limited to provider instances intended for movie library operations and isolated from instances meant for other facets or environments.
  • Apply a rule set here after creating it in Settings.
  • Re-check routing after disabling, renaming, or replacing a configured provider instance.
